A soulmate is someone who feels like coming home.

People describe soulmates as fireworks. In my experience, the deepest connections feel more like a porch light.

You don't have to perform around them. You don't have to be interesting, or fixed, or impressive. You walk in, take off your shoes, and exhale.

A soulmate doesn't have to be a romantic partner. It can be a friend, a sibling, a parent, a person you met late in life who somehow knew you already.

If someone feels like home, don't take it for granted. That feeling is rarer than fireworks.
