Letting go

Closure is something you give yourself.

We wait for closure like it's something the other person owes us. An apology, an explanation, a final conversation.

Sometimes it comes. Often it doesn't.

But closure isn't really a conversation. It's a decision. You decide you've understood enough, felt enough, waited enough.

You close the gate yourself, gently, and walk on down the path.
