Grief comes in waves. Learn to float.
Grief isn't a straight line. It comes in waves. Some days are calm. Then a song, a smell, a birthday โ and a big wave knocks you over.
Early on the waves are huge and close together. Over time they soften and spread out. But they still come.
You can't stop the ocean. But you can learn to float. To breathe when the wave rises. To trust that it will pass.
If a wave hit you today, float. It will carry you back to shore.
