Past lives

I have been many people in this one life.

The girl in the school uniform. The young adult who thought she knew everything. The one who fell in love, the one who got hurt, the one who rebuilt.

We don't just live one life. We live several inside it. Each version had different dreams, different fears, different shoes.

Sometimes I miss some of them. Sometimes I'm glad they're gone. But every one of them walked a stretch of road so I could stand here.

Be kind to all your past lives. They were each doing their best with what they knew.
