Let the tears come. Rain is how the ground gets soft.
Many of us were taught to hold tears back. Be strong. Don't make a scene. Smile so others won't worry.
But tears aren't weakness. They're weather. And the ground needs rain.
A good cry softens what's gone hard in you. It makes room. Farmers know this: nothing new grows in dry, packed earth. After the rain, the seedlings break through.
So if it's raining in you today, let it. Find a quiet place, or a person who can just sit there without fixing anything. Something is getting ready to grow.
