Nobody is born knowing. We are all still learning to walk.
Nobody arrives knowing. Not how to love well, not how to lose, not how to parent, lead, grieve or start over.
We learn the way toddlers learn to walk: wobbling, falling, trying again, with someone bigger nearby. The footprints are uneven. That's what learning looks like.
It helps me to remember that the people who seem to have it figured out are still learning too. They just learned to keep walking while they're unsure.
So be patient with your own wobbly steps. And when you can, walk beside someone smaller.
