Love is not the grand gesture. It's the tea made without asking.
We wait for love to arrive with violins. Flowers at the door. A speech in front of everyone.
But the love that actually holds a life together is quieter than that. It's the phone someone plugged in for you before you noticed it was dying. The seat saved on a crowded jeepney. The tea that shows up next to your laptop because someone saw you'd been staring at the same email for twenty minutes.
Grand gestures are easy to remember. Small ones are easy to miss — and they happen every day, which is exactly the point. Somebody chose you again this morning, in a way too ordinary to announce.
Maybe the question isn't whether you're loved enough. Maybe it's whether you've been looking in the right size.
