Every home has them: the good plates. The nice glasses. The dress with the tag still on. The perfume you're saving for a trip that keeps getting pushed back.

We save the best things for a special occasion, and then life gets busy, and the occasion never quite arrives. The plates stay in the cabinet. The dress goes out of style.

Here's a small rebellion: use them on a Wednesday. Serve fried egg and rice on the floral plates. Wear the nice shirt to the grocery. Light the candle for no reason at all.
